C+C | Mediterranean Mountain Top

In August, I made the trip over to the Okanagan for Chelsea and Cameron's wedding celebration at God's Mountain Estate. I absolutely love the landscape of the Okanagan. The dry, open landscape reminds me of my time living in Southern California, so I was so excited to photograph another wedding there.
The morning began with dark skies, blustery winds and a downpour but thankfully the skies cleared and we had the most beautiful day to celebrate their union.  Most of the guests, including the bride and groom, were coming from Vancouver and the venue definitely served as a destination wedding spot. Beautiful vineyards wrapped up and down the mountain side and a Mediterranean styled estate housed most of the guests. Flowers by Celsia Floral were brought in from Vancouver and they were beyond gorgeous. Alessia, from Little Lessy, designed all the paper goods and put together such a special al fresco dinner for everyone to enjoy.
This wedding was a true highlight of the summer for so many reasons. I love when I get to travel (for what doesn't even feel like work) while capturing such special events. Thank you C+C for bringing me along! You two and your families were so wonderful and full of joy, it was contagious. xo

Cara + Patrick

Cara and Patrick's beautiful Okanagan wedding was a pure delight to photograph. With their friends and closest families by their side, the two married by the beach. She was barefoot and he was rocking floral pants (amazing) and they celebrated the entire weekend. I loved the causal feel to their wedding, it allowed them and the guests to really focus on what was important.

I met Cara during a shoot I did earlier in the summer where she was the model. A true fashion lover, one would have thought that Cara would have been decked out in lots of jewelry, heels, the whole nine yards. But she was perfectly simplistic in a silk slip dress and a floral crown as her only accessory. I loved it. Her true beauty shined through. She was natural, she was herself, she was beautiful. And Patricks pants! I still can't get over how amazing they were.

All the best to these two love birds, thanks for having me capture your special day!
